Nominator Rahana Begum, social prescriber, says that the whole of Tower Hamlets Social Prescribing Team worked so very hard during the whole Covid-19 pandemic. Not only did they still continue to work within their practices but they also had to take on the new role in receiving referrals for the London Borough shielding patients that needed urgent food deliveries as well as dealing with referrals of patients not on the Government shielding team list; shopping, bereavement, isolation, loneliness, DV, depression: they did everything they could possibly do for their borough. I do believe the sheer hard work, commitment and dedication has still not been recognised and definitely think this will make them feel that everything they did and are still doing is so well appreciated.
