Ruils employed six link workers to start in mid Feb 2020. Two weeks later Covid -19 hit and the world went into shutdown midway through our induction programme. The Ruils team set up an emergency Covid -19 remote response, working in conjunction with the six PCNs in Richmond Upon Thames Borough. With approximately 600 clients, we had an additional three link workers in March and six in July making 15 link workers in total. We restructured to appoint three lead link workers and met voluntary sector and statutory bodies online each Wednesday to raise awareness of our team and what social prescribing does. does. We liaised with GPs, MDs and Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare and carried out ongoing training – all remotely during the past six months. Phenomenal effort by all in the Ruils Team – I would love some recognition for them.
