Lisa’s over 15 years’ experience as an Environmental Health Manager and her dedication to the role has really come into play during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the country went into lockdown Lisa took the lead role in advising senior management on Government guidance and made recommendations to ensure the district was a safe place. She challenged public health specialists both at local and national level to improve our response to the pandemic.
Lisa ensured that officers, residents, businesses and partners had all the relevant information they needed when they needed it. She lead on the safe reopening of our town centres and guided businesses through what they needed to do including the track and trace system. As if this challenge was not enough Lisa also dealt with a major Salmonella outbreak which had global implications during the pandemic.
She has demonstrated leadership, commitment and dedication not only to the authority but also to the people within our district.
