Our managing director, Ali, got chatting with the HR team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust at last year’s HPMA conference in Cardiff, which subsequently got us involved in their exciting project to empower managers and staff to ‘AskHR’.
When HR management resources are reduced but organisational needs remain, what can be done? At Kingston, a team led by Roujin Ghamsari and Paul Hargreaves with their new director Kelvin Cheatle, have made it easy for managers and staff to have information at their fingertips by developing a bespoke app so that the service that HR gives throughout the Trust is hugely enhanced.
The newly launched service, AskHR, gives managers a punctual reply to their queries and a new way of accessing information and making appointments – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
So where does Chamberlain Dunn fit in? The HR team wanted to see rapid results and brought us in to help with the marketing of the new service. We created the AskHR logo in time for the change to be announced in the early New Year, and produced a brochure to explain how managers and staff can use the new service. The app is now live and available to download on the iTunes store and Google Play.
The strong brand identity which our team developed with Kingston is a crucial building block in early growth in usage for the app – we’re excited to see how the project develops.
